Early Learning Program The goal of the Early Learning Program is to align all FUSD early learning programs, including state funded preschools, Parent and Child Education (PACE) programs, and child development centers (CDCs); to support the social/emotional development and school readiness of all early learners. The program will create clear processes for the integration and unification of each of these early learning programs to ensure consistent implementation of a stardards-based curriculum that provides a seamless transition to kindergarten standards and to promote professional development for teachers of early learners. In collaboration with Parent University, FUSD will create a parent education team consisting of one social worker and three home educators/facilitators. This team will provide opportunities for parents of children ages 0-5 to learn about their children's development with an emphasis on language and literacy. Additional parent education topics will include positive parenting practices, leadership training, nutrition and health education, how to navigate the educational system and access community resources.
