Brain Development
Research shows that a child's brain develops most dramatically during the first five years of life. Increased experiences define the wiring of an infant’s brain. By the age of three, about 80% of the synaptic connections of brain cells or the “building blocks” of development are already made. Actively engaging with a young child isn’t just a good thing - it directly impacts the formation of neural pathways. Therefore, strong parent-child relationships are critical.
